Animals play an important role in children's imaginations and development.
Puppies, in particular, are most children's favorite animals. Eero Aarnio had this animal in mind when he began designing the Puppy for Magis.
The designer was also keen to retain only the most essential features of the puppy, just as children do when they draw their first animals with the head, body and legs left blank.
It was also very important to consider the choice of materials, as they have a decisive impact on the manufacturing process, overall design and final aesthetics.
Round shapes are optimized for maximum strength with minimum material, and are more child-friendly than straight, angular shapes.
